The Hydra Facial is the most-requested booking at our Sherman Way studio, and it is also the treatment people most often confuse with something else on our menu. We offer both a Hydra Facial ($180, 80 minutes) and a Hydrating Facial, and they are not the same booking. This page is mostly about telling them apart, because choosing the wrong one is the single most common mix-up we correct over the phone.
The short version: the Hydra Facial is the more involved, equipment-led treatment and sits at the top of our facial pricing. A hydrating facial is the gentler, more traditional option. If you came across the name online and liked the sound of it, it is worth pausing on which of the two you actually want — they suit different situations and different budgets, and we would rather you booked the right one.
At $180 for 80 minutes, the Hydra Facial is our most expensive standard facial. For comparison, the Brightening Facial is $175, the Anti Aging Facial $155, and the Acne Facial $120, all at the same 80 minutes. Only Microneedling ($195, 120 minutes) costs more.
In our experience it is booked by two groups. The first are people with a date in mind — a wedding, a photoshoot, a reunion — who want their skin looking its best on a specific day. The second are regulars who have settled into a cycle and come back on a rhythm that works for them rather than treating it as a one-off.
If you are in the first group, book earlier than the event rather than the day before. That is general good practice with any facial, not something specific to this one.
Three add-ons can be layered onto the appointment: Dermaplaning ($65, adds 45 minutes), Salicylic Peel 22% ($25) and Glycolic Peel 30% ($25). Adding dermaplaning takes the appointment past two hours, so say so when you book rather than on arrival. Whether a peel is a sensible pairing for your skin on the day is a conversation to have with us in person — it depends on what your skin is doing that week, and it is not a decision worth making from a website.
